Myoclonic epilepsy with ragged-red fibers may cause the following:

• Epilepsy
• Myoclonic seizure
• Cerebellar ataxia
• Dementia
• Sensorineural hearing loss
• Optic neuropathy
• Generalized tonic-clonic seizure
• Atonic seizure
• Absence seizure
• Proximal muscle weakness
• Short stature
• Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome
